I’ve seen that exact car more than once. Last time was AutoFair in spring 2013 when it was on display from that dealer. They’ve got some amazing cars in their inventory.

The blurb says that it was killed due to NASCAR regulations but I’ve heard before that it was worse, aerodynamically speaking, than the existing car so Ford axed it. Does anybody know the true story?

It was brought into the scene just as they were killing off the superbird. Thus end of the aero cars. Also, I seem to remember NASCAR didn’t want the BOSS 429 engine racing. Sort of the same story as the 427 SOHC.
